Working with Springfield’s Energy Master Plan
Veolia Energy (Dalkia) is working with Springfield Land Corporation in the development of Springfield’s Energy Master Plan. We are proud to be a part of Springfield; it is a city in the making which was recently awarded the Best Master Planned Community in Australia by the PCA and the Best Master Planned Community in the World by FIABCI.

Veolia Energy (Dalkia) has extended the relationship established through the Polaris project, to become a strategic partner of the Springfield Land Corporation. This partnership has led to Veolia Energy (Dalkia) developing an Energy Master Plan for the city’s future.
The next phase of works will commence with the development of Health City, combining public and private health services for the local and wider population.
A wider strategic alliance has now commenced with Springfield Land Corporation to bring together an integrated Veolia Environnement solution where world class environmental solutions can be provided as the core system of this new city; realising a vision of centralised and environmentally efficient energy supplies, waste processing and recycling, water recovery treatment and reuse, and transport systems which rely on low, and even no energy.

For our industrial clients, we draw on our experience in the management of public resources to offer tailor-made solutions. Our ability to generate synergies between our four business divisions enables us to offer a wide range of integrated management solutions. These multiservice contracts' offer a combination of services provided by several divisions, to cater for the needs of clients who want to outsource a wide range of tasks to a single service provider.
Case Study
Recycled water use at Darling Walk
Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies was awarded the contract for the design, supply and commissioning of a recycled water plant as part of Bovis Lend Lease’s Darling Walk development in Sydney. The recycled water plant will combine innovative technologies including Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR), Neosep® Membrane Bioreactor and Multipure Plus Reverse Osmosis to treat 245 kilolitres a day of sewage through sewer mining to produce high quality recycled water. This recycled water will be reused for toilet flushing, irrigation and in air-conditioning cooling towers. The Darling Walk development is a low-rise commercial office and leisure space currently being constructed in Sydney’s Darling Harbour and is expected to be completed in 2011. The design meets a Green Star Rating of 6 Star Office Design V2 and an ABGR/NABERS 5-Star rating.
